Description
Oil-free rotary vane vacuum pumps consist of a rotor in an eccentric position rotating inside a cylindrical body.
This rotor is equipped with grooves in which the vanes are inserted. Because of the centrifugal force, during the rotation the vanes are pushed into contact with the body, creating close spaces that increase their volume drawing air from the container to be emptied and expelling it from the “outlet duct”. Oil-free rotary vane pumps can run continuously both at atmospheric pressure and at the highest vacuum. However, they cannot be used when the aspirated air contains moisture, oil or other traces of liquid.
All versions can be used as compressors.
MAIN APPLICATION FIELDS
Limited weight and dimension are possible by the monoblock industrial design type with the rotor directly assembled on the motor shaft. Mainly built with light-weight alloy, the SB 10, SB 10TV and SB 12 oil-free rotary vane vacuum pumps can be fitted in places where little room is available, but in which ventilation is good. The cooling of the pumps is ensured by the motor fan. The SB 10 and SB 12 pumps can work as compressor up to a pressure 0.6 bar. The SB 10TV ensures perfect air tightness thanks to special gaskets.
This pump can be used in plant with sealed circuit thanks its proper configuration.
The SB 10, SB 10TV and SB 12 pumps are equipped with:
• Protective filter at the inlet
• Silencer at the outlet (only SB 10 and SB 12)
